I want to hear it, I want to take your portrait.

“Open Your Lens” is a grid series of 100 Polaroid portraits taken of survivors of suicide loss. Each portrait will contain a single sentence about your lost loved one.

Open Your Lens will make it's debut in ArtPrize Festival of Grand Rapids, Michigan from September 18th - October 4th, 2025.

The process of obtaining each Polaroid opens the door of conversation between myself (the photographer), and you - both who have survived a tremendous loss.

Hope is possible.
